I know that it sounds a little bit strange, but after over 1600 years of papal authority, the Pope is now crowned by a serial killer god that hates women and children and a Jocko priesthood. You nurture a sick dog back to health for 2000 years, and then when the dog is too old to function properly, along come Psycho, Serial Killer God and tries to bring it back to life by burying it in the Voodoo Pet Cemetery. Go Figure!
