I See my Green Window Door

I see my red window door. and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them all to turn black
I see the teenage girls walk by; dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and in my mind; they are all painted black
With pastel flowers and my true love; both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a still born baby; it just happens every day
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my blue door, I must have it painted black
Maybe then one day I'll fade away.
and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facin' up to life when your whole world is painted black
No more will my green sea turn a deeper blue
But I could not foresee this dark Jesus thing happening to you
If I had looked hard enough into the red settin' dying son
My love would still laugh with me before the mornin' comes
Now, I see a blue door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore; I want them all to turn black
I see the teenage girls walk by, dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I don't really want to see your face, painted black
Painted black as night, painted black as coal
I just wanna see the sun blotted out from your sky
I wanna see the son of God painted, painted, painted, painted black
Yeah!
